2994. My brother, Robert Ater, was killed in crash on August 17,1970 in Vie Nam. Six were killed and a SP4 Chester Pudlo survived. I"m trying to locate him or anyone else who would have testimony as to what happened.
I've tried to optain the Purple Heart for my brother but it always gets bogged down in government red tape.
Any information would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you.

2991. You were all on my mind at this moment so I thought I would drop a line. Thanks again for the kindness and patience you showed me and my family. I know that the conversations we shared at the past reunions helped my mother, brother, and me.

President's Message
Welcome to our website! The 35th Infantry Regiment Association is very proud of our colorful history which
is recorded here. On these pages, you will find information from Nogales, Arizona through WWII, Korea,
Vietnam, Afghanistan, Iraq and all the peacetime in between.
We also have pages that are a very
solemn tribute to all of our fallen brothers. You will notice that not all of these pages have pictures, so
our quest continues as we are still searching for more pictures of our Cacti brothers to make these personal
tributes complete. Help us out with this project if you can.
Check out our reunion photos to see what
a great organization we have. Reunions have been held every year since 1999 and we welcome all Cacti and their
families to attend. If you are a Cacti but not yet a member, please click the Association and Memberships
links and join us.
If you are not a Cacti, please enjoy our website, learn all about us, and come
back soon!

Late Breaking News
2nd/9th Field Artillery website
The 2nd/9th Field Artillery website was inaugurated recently and we took a look at it. Many
Cacti will remember the 2nd Battalion, 9th Field Artillery as the bunch who supported us in
the field. And many of you actually served with that unit, and have joined our Association as
honorary Cacti. For these reasons, the 2nd/9th has a special place in our hearts.
While the new website has just gotten started, it already has a wealth of information
available, but it still needs your help. Visit the website often, as it will certainly
be growing rapidly. And if you have picutes, stories, rosters, etc. contact the webmaster
at mightyninth@cableone.net to find out how
to submit them.
14th Infantry Regiment Association coming soon
Many of our Cacti Vietnam vets will remember that we fought side by side with the 1/14th
Infantry Regiment, and some of us even served with them when the 1/35th went home in
April 1970. Well, the great news is that the 14th Infantry Regiment Association may be a reality soon.
If any of you Cacti and Honorary Cacti served with the 14th Infantry Regiment, you can contact
the Golden Dragons at 14thAssociation@1-14th.com.
Or perhaps you had buddies who served there, or have pictures or stories to share. We encourage
everyone to support our comrades-in-arms from "Right of the Line" and visit the two websites which
serve the regiment: 1-14th.com and
www.i-kirk.info/2nd14th.
