Dust storm caused by downdraft from rotors seen just starting at right. It will soon envelope entire helicopter, & bunker in the foreground

1 Jan 69 0900 hrs. Downstream, on Se San. Men from 3rd Plat. On near bank. River wadeable to sandy shore, deepest channel is beyond, just in front of tree line in rear.
1 Jan 69 0900 hrs. Patrol on Se San river. Cleaning up before continuing. Across stream can be seen near part of large, flat island by tall trees in background (just in front of them) lies deep, swift main channel of river that stopped us. Stream in foreground is wadeable – chest deep. [LT Kelly]
