The 35th Infantry Regiment Association salutes our fallen brother, PFC Roger Lee Hogston, who died in the service of his country on February 19th, 1967 in Binh Dinh Province, Vietnam. The cause of death was listed as Friendly Fire. At the time of his death Roger was 21 years of age. He was from Dayton, Ohio. Roger is honored on the Vietnam Veterans Memorial at Panel 15E, Line 62.

The decorations earned by PFC Roger Lee Hogston include: the Combat Infantryman Badge, the Purple Heart, the National Defense Service Medal, the Vietnam Service Medal, the Vietnam Campaign Medal and the Vietnam Cross of Gallantry with Palm Unit Citation.


Roger is buried at Byron Cemetery (Bath Township) Byron,OH

Roger was on guard duty when he left the perimeter and upon returning was mistaken for enemy and shot.
