The 35th Infantry Regiment Association salutes our fallen brother, CPL Lyle Richard Dupont, ER16180845, who died in the service of his country on April 25th, 1951 in South Korea. The cause of death was listed as KIA. At the time of his death Lyle was 26 years of age. He was from Fairchild, Wisconsin. Lyle's Military Occupation Specialty was 4812-Heavy Weapons Infantryman.

The decorations earned by CPL Lyle Richard Dupont include: the Combat Infantryman Badge, the Purple Heart, the National Defense Service Medal, the Korean Service Medal, the United Nations Korea Service Medal, and the Republic of Korea War Service Medal.

Alma Center Soldier Dead, Brother Missing in Action Alma Center, Wit.--(Special)

An Alma Center man, whose brother has been missing in action since December 2, has been reported killed in Korea.

Mrs. Tena Dupont, Alma Center route one, has been informed that her son, Corporal Lyle R. Dupont, 26, was killed April 25.

The latters wife, Esther, lives with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Bremer, Fairchild.

No word has been received of Private First Class Donald L. Dupont, 24, since he was reported missing.

Corporal Dupont had been in Korea about two months when he was killed.

He had visited at his home on furlough in January.

Born on his parents farm near here in June, 1924, he attended Fairchild High school and worked on the farm until enlisting in the Army in 1945. He served with the occupation forces in Japan and upon discharge, joined the Reserves.

In October, 1950, about two weeks after his marriage, he was recalled to service.
