The 35th Infantry Regiment Association salutes our fallen brother, PFC Elmore Stinson, who died in the service of his country on January 12th, 1952 in North Korea. The cause of death was listed as Truck Accident. At the time of his death Elmore was 23 years of age. He was from Fort Lawn, South Carolina.

The decorations earned by PFC Elmore Stinson include: the Combat Infantryman Badge, the National Defense Service Medal, the Korean Service Medal, the United Nations Korea Service Medal, and the Republic of Korea War Service Medal.


Private Stinson was a member of Company D, 1st Battalion, 35th Infantry Regiment, 25th Infantry Division. On January 12, 1952, he was killed when the truck he was riding in overturned near Hwachon, North Korea. Private Stinson was awarded the Combat Infantrymans Badge, the Korean Service Medal, the United Nations Service Medal, the National Defense Service Medal, the Republic of Korea War Service Medal
