The 35th Infantry Regiment Association salutes our fallen brother, PFC William J. Finn, 06150306, who died in the service of his country on February 6th, 1945 in Luzon. The cause of death was listed as KIA. At the time of his death William was 44 years of age. He was from Winsted, Connecticut.

The decorations earned by PFC William J. Finn include: the Combat Infantryman Badge, the Bronze Star, the Purple Heart, the Asiatic-Pacific Service Medal, and the World War II Victory Medal.


William was a member of the 2nd Bn HQ and was with the Anti-Tank Platoon.


William resided in Litchfield County, Connecticut prior to the war.

He enlisted in the Army on May 20, 1940, prior to the war. He was noted, at the time of his enlistment, as being Divorced, without dependents.
