The 35th Infantry Regiment Association salutes our fallen brother, Tech5 Wyatt Clark Wood, who died in the service of his country on January 19th, 1943 in Guadalcanal. The cause of death was listed as KIA. At the time of his death Wyatt was 33 years of age. He was from Clay County, Iowa.

The decorations earned by Tech5 Wyatt Clark Wood include: the Combat Medical Badge, the Bronze Star, the Purple Heart, the Asiatic-Pacific Service Medal, and the World War II Victory Medal.

Re-burial services for T-5 Wyatt C. Wood, son of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Wood, of Gillett Grove, Iowa, were held Friday at Worthington and interment was made in a Worthington cemetery. Wyatt was killed in action on Guadalcanal January 19, 1943. (bio by: ShaneO)
