The 35th Infantry Regiment Association salutes our fallen brother, PFC Kenneth Edgar Winnie, 12024117, who died in the service of his country on May 24th, 1945 in Luzon. The cause of death was listed as KIA. At the time of his death Kenneth was 22 years of age. He was from Sullivan, New York.

The decorations earned by PFC Kenneth Edgar Winnie include: the Combat Infantryman Badge, the Bronze Star with V, the Purple Heart, the Asiatic-Pacific Service Medal, and the World War II Victory Medal.


Kenneth enlisted at Syracuse NY on 03/08/1941 for duty in Hawaii. It is possible that he was a Pearl Harbor survivor.

He was an eighteen year old farm hand at the time of enlistment.
