The 35th Infantry Regiment Association salutes our fallen brother, SGT Billy Joe DeMarco, who died in the service of his country on June 6th, 1970 in Cambodia, Vietnam. The cause of death was listed as Booby Trap. At the time of his death Billy was 23 years of age. He was from Las Cruces, New Mexico. Billy is honored on the Vietnam Veterans Memorial at Panel W9, Line 19.

The decorations earned by SGT Billy Joe DeMarco include: the Combat Infantryman Badge, the Purple Heart, the National Defense Service Medal, the Vietnam Service Medal, the Vietnam Campaign Medal and the Vietnam Cross of Gallantry with Palm Unit Citation.


Billy died in the Cambodia Incursion while serving with B, 2/12th, 1st Cav. He had prior service with B, 2/35th 1967-68.

He is buried in the Masonic Cemetery, Las Cruces, NM
