The 35th Infantry Regiment Association salutes our fallen brother, CPL Bruce Arnold Peterson, RA16305115, who died in the service of his country on March 30th, 1951 in South Korea. The cause of death was listed as KIA. At the time of his death Bruce was 20 years of age. He was from Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Bruce's Military Occupation Specialty was 4745-Light Weapons Infantryman.

The decorations earned by CPL Bruce Arnold Peterson include: the Combat Infantryman Badge, the Purple Heart, the National Defense Service Medal, the Korean Service Medal, the United Nations Korea Service Medal, and the Republic of Korea War Service Medal.


Corporal Peterson was a member of the 35th Infantry Regiment, 25th Infantry Division. He was Killed in Action while fighting the enemy in South Korea on March 30, 1951. Corporal Peterson was awarded the Purple Heart, the Combat Infantrymans Badge, the Korean Service Medal, the United Nations Service Medal, the National Defense Service Medal and the Korean War Service Medal.

Bruce went to the high school I did-- I was younger-Jan. 52--he was June 49 My girlfriends nicknamed him--The Kid With the Shiny Teeth--cause his were very nice! I have the article from the Milwaukee Journal from 1951---to this day! I went to the Wis Korean War Memorial (in Plover) in Aug.02 to pay my respects to all of our brave guys that were in Korea!
