The 35th Infantry Regiment Association salutes our fallen brother, PFC Gustavo A. Millan-Rosario, US50115395, who died in the service of his country on May 8th, 1953 in North Korea. The cause of death was listed as KIA. At the time of his death Gustavo was 21 years of age. He was from Rio Grande, Puerto Rico. Gustavo's Military Occupation Specialty was 1812-Heavy Weapons Infantry Leader.

The decorations earned by PFC Gustavo A. Millan-Rosario include: the Combat Infantryman Badge, the Purple Heart, the National Defense Service Medal, the Korean Service Medal, the United Nations Korea Service Medal, and the Republic of Korea War Service Medal.


Private First Class Millan was a member of the 35th Infantry Regiment, 25th Infantry Division. He was Killed in Action while fighting the enemy in North Korea on May 8, 1953. Private First Class Millan was awarded the Purple Heart, the Combat Infantrymans Badge, the Korean Service Medal, the United Nations Service Medal, the National Defense Service Medal, the Korean Presidential Unit Citation and the Republic of Korea War Service Medal.

Gustavo was an Afro-Puerto Rican. Some records cite Gustavo A. Millan. Son of Mr. and Mrs. Sabino Millan Fuentes of Rio Grande, Puerto Rico.
