Angel and I were in the same squad together and became close friends. As I remember him he had a happy disposition and was pleasant to be around. On the afternoon of October 25, 1951 companies of the 35th regiment assaulted and occupied an area known as snipers ridge, in the vicinity of Osong-san,NK. On the night of the 26th, Angel believing that the troops were withdrawing went up over a ridge in the dark and was silhouetted against the skyline, at which time he was hit numerous times both by hostile and friendly fire( contributed by Shelby Wise)
