The 35th Infantry Regiment Association salutes our fallen brother, PFC Charles Frederick Wells, who died in the service of his country on March 19th, 1952 in North Korea. The cause of death was listed as Vehicle Accident. At the time of his death Charles was 26 years of age. He was from Corbin, Kentucky.

The decorations earned by PFC Charles Frederick Wells include: the Combat Infantryman Badge, the National Defense Service Medal, the Korean Service Medal, the United Nations Korea Service Medal, and the Republic of Korea War Service Medal.


Private First Class Wells was a member of the Tank Company, 35th Infantry Regiment, 25th Infantry Division. On March 19, 1952, he was killed when his vehicle overturned in North Korea. Private First Class Wells was awarded the Korean Service Medal, the United Nations Service Medal, the National Defense Service Medal, the Korean Presidential Unit Citation and the Republic of Korea War Service Medal.
