The 35th Infantry Regiment Association salutes our fallen brother, SSG Samuel H. Williams, who died in the service of his country on May 20th, 1943 in Guadalcanal. The cause of death was listed as Enemy Bombing Raid. At the time of his death Samuel was 35 years of age. He was from Orange County, North Carolina.

The decorations earned by SSG Samuel H. Williams include: the Combat Infantryman Badge, the Bronze Star, the Purple Heart, the Asiatic-Pacific Service Medal, and the World War II Victory Medal.
