The 35th Infantry Regiment Association salutes our fallen brother, CPL Edward R. Biittig, 33171380, who died in the service of his country on September 10th, 1943 in Vella Lavella, Kokolope Bay. The cause of death was listed as KIA. At the time of his death Edward was 31 years of age. He was from Bucks County, Pennsylvania.

The decorations earned by CPL Edward R. Biittig include: the Combat Infantryman Badge, the Bronze Star, the Purple Heart, the Asiatic-Pacific Service Medal, and the World War II Victory Medal.


Edward was single and in the construction trades in civilian life.
