The 35th Infantry Regiment Association salutes our fallen brother, PFC Ramon Ortiz, 38257470, who died in the service of his country on May 25th, 1945 in Luzon. The cause of death was listed as KIA. At the time of his death Ramon was 22 years of age. He was from Corpus Christi, Texas.

The decorations earned by PFC Ramon Ortiz include: the Combat Infantryman Badge, the Bronze Star, the Purple Heart, the Asiatic-Pacific Service Medal, and the World War II Victory Medal.


Ramon worked for O K Furniture Company prior to entering the service. He was in HHC, 1st Bn.

Ramon is buried at Rose Hill Memorial Park, Corpus Christi, Texas.
