The 35th Infantry Regiment Association salutes our fallen brother, PFC Lawrence T. Truett, 14013889, who died in the service of his country on January 10th, 1943 in Guadalcanal. The cause of death was listed as KIA. At the time of his death Lawrence was 20 years of age. He was from Winter Park, Florida.

The decorations earned by PFC Lawrence T. Truett include: the Combat Infantryman Badge, the Bronze Star, the Purple Heart, the Asiatic-Pacific Service Medal, and the World War II Victory Medal.

Lawrence was an office worker and drafted/enlisted 4 Sep 1940.

PFC Truett was KIA at Guadalcanal. He was a resident of 1504 Michigan Ave, Winter Park.

His remains arrived in Orlando five years after his death, March 5, 1948 and his funeral was held graveside, March 7, 1948.
