The 35th Infantry Regiment Association salutes our fallen brother, PFC Abraham Shinder, who died in the service of his country on May 20th, 1943 in Guadalcanal. The cause of death was listed as Enemy Bombing Raid. At the time of his death Abraham was 24 years of age. He was from Brooklyn, New York.

The decorations earned by PFC Abraham Shinder include: the Combat Infantryman Badge, the Bronze Star, the Purple Heart, the Asiatic-Pacific Service Medal, and the World War II Victory Medal.
