The 35th Infantry Regiment Association salutes our fallen brother, PFC Lucien Robinson, who died in the service of his country on February 21st, 1968 in Quang Nam Province, Vietnam. The cause of death was listed as Mortars (Wounded on 2-9-68). At the time of his death Lucien was 24 years of age. He was from Johns Island, South Carolina. Lucien is honored on the Vietnam Veterans Memorial at Panel 40E, Line 55.

The decorations earned by PFC Lucien Robinson include: the Combat Infantryman Badge, the Purple Heart, the National Defense Service Medal, the Vietnam Service Medal, the Vietnam Campaign Medal and the Vietnam Cross of Gallantry with Palm Unit Citation.


Lucien is buried at the Bethlehem Methodist Church Cemetery, Johns Island, SC

Only in the Field One Hour
No one got to know him. It was his first hour in field. I was three steps in back of him when a mortor round got us on 2-9-68. I made it back and he did not. Life makes no sense.
