The 35th Infantry Regiment Association salutes our fallen brother, SSG Neely Clarence Walker, who died in the service of his country on January 21st, 1970 in Pleiku Province, Vietnam. The cause of death was listed as Natural Causes. At the time of his death Neely was 40 years of age. He was from Augusta, Georgia. Neely is honored on the Vietnam Veterans Memorial at Panel W14, Line 56.

The decorations earned by SSG Neely Clarence Walker include: the Combat Infantryman Badge, the Bronze Star, the National Defense Service Medal, the Vietnam Service Medal, the Vietnam Campaign Medal and the Vietnam Cross of Gallantry with Palm Unit Citation.


Buried at Fort Sill National Post Cemetery Section V Site 14678. Ft. Sill is located just NE of Lawton, OK. Lawton is about 90 miles SW of Oklahoma City, OK. Directions to Post Cemetery. Take exit 41 (Key Gate) on Sheridan Road off of I-44. Pass through the gate entrance (Vehicle subject to inspection). Turn right onto Geronimo Road. After crossing railroad tracks turn left on Macomb Road. Go past Burrill Road. The cemetery is on the right side of the road.
