The 35th Infantry Regiment Association salutes our fallen brother, PFC John Willis Allen, who died in the service of his country on July 15th, 1967 in Quang Ngai Province, Vietnam. The cause of death was listed as Booby Trap. At the time of his death John was 22 years of age. He was from Houston, Texas. John is honored on the Vietnam Veterans Memorial at Panel 23E, Line 72.

The decorations earned by PFC John Willis Allen include: the Combat Infantryman Badge, the Bronze Star, the Purple Heart, the National Defense Service Medal, the Vietnam Service Medal, the Vietnam Campaign Medal and the Vietnam Cross of Gallantry with Palm Unit Citation.


John was killed by a booby-trapped 250 lb bomb, at BS697585, 6 km NW Mo Duc Afld.

John is buried in the Arenosa Cemetery, Victoria County, TX
