The 35th Infantry Regiment Association salutes our fallen brother, PFC Russell Lee Adams, who died in the service of his country on October 23rd, 1967 in Quang Ngai Province, Vietnam. The cause of death was listed as Misadventure, Accident with Recoilless Rifle. At the time of his death Russell was 22 years of age. He was from Washington, DC. Russell is honored on the Vietnam Veterans Memorial at Panel 28E, Line 52.

The decorations earned by PFC Russell Lee Adams include: the Combat Infantryman Badge, the Purple Heart, the National Defense Service Medal, the Vietnam Service Medal, the Vietnam Campaign Medal and the Vietnam Cross of Gallantry with Palm Unit Citation.


Russell is buried in Arlington National Cemetery, Section 33, Site 8926
