The 35th Infantry Regiment Association salutes our fallen brother, PFC Richard Noyce Seglem, who died in the service of his country on September 24th, 1970 in Phu Yen Province, Vietnam. The cause of death was listed as Shot When Mistaken for Enemy. At the time of his death Richard was 20 years of age. He was from Wichita, Kansas. Richard is honored on the Vietnam Veterans Memorial at Panel 7W, Line 88.

The decorations earned by PFC Richard Noyce Seglem include: the Combat Infantryman Badge, the Bronze Star, the Purple Heart, the National Defense Service Medal, the Vietnam Service Medal, the Vietnam Campaign Medal and the Vietnam Cross of Gallantry with Palm Unit Citation.


I miss you and love you,and thank you and I am so proud of you for the courage and character you showed in answering your countrys call.It was an honorable act being a soldier.
