The 35th Infantry Regiment Association salutes our fallen brother, PFC Durwood Michael Hallam, who died in the service of his country on September 8th, 1967 in Quang Ngai Province, Vietnam. The cause of death was listed as Drowned. At the time of his death Durwood was 21 years of age. He was from San Antonio, Texas. Durwood is honored on the Vietnam Veterans Memorial at Panel 26E, Line 35.

The decorations earned by PFC Durwood Michael Hallam include: the Combat Infantryman Badge, the Soldiers Medal, the Bronze Star, the Purple Heart, the National Defense Service Medal, the Vietnam Service Medal, the Vietnam Campaign Medal and the Vietnam Cross of Gallantry with Palm Unit Citation.


Durwood is buried in the Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery
