The 35th Infantry Regiment Association salutes our fallen brother, PFC Warren Henry Raines, who died in the service of his country on October 31st, 1968 in Quang Duc Province, Vietnam. The cause of death was listed as Small Arms/AW. At the time of his death Warren was 21 years of age. He was from Wood Haven, New York. Warren is honored on the Vietnam Veterans Memorial at Panel 40W, Line 67.

The decorations earned by PFC Warren Henry Raines include: the Combat Infantryman Badge, the Bronze Star, the Purple Heart, the National Defense Service Medal, the Vietnam Service Medal, the Vietnam Campaign Medal and the Vietnam Cross of Gallantry with Palm Unit Citation.

It was Warren who took compassion for a stray cat I had found. This in 1966. We were students at the Academy Of Aeronautics. BLESS YOU WARREN- You and that cat are long gone but EVERYDAY - I remember- Phil
