The 35th Infantry Regiment Association salutes our fallen brother, 1LT Charles A. Bazzinotti, who died in the service of his country on May 13th, 1970 in Pleiku Province, Vietnam. The cause of death was listed as Helicopter Hit Truck. At the time of his death Charles was 23 years of age. He was from Dorchester, Massachusetts. Charles is honored on the Vietnam Veterans Memorial at Panel 10W, Line 31.

The decorations earned by 1LT Charles A. Bazzinotti include: the Combat Infantryman Badge, the Bronze Star, the National Defense Service Medal, the Vietnam Service Medal, the Vietnam Campaign Medal and the Vietnam Cross of Gallantry with Palm Unit Citation.


Charles is buried in the Mount Hope Cemetery in Mattapan, MA

Charlie Bazzinotti is remembered by his family and friends as bing a likeable guy and a very dilligent student. He was a graduate of Christopher Columbus High School and was a senior at Northeastern University when he left school to join the Armed Forces of the United States. May he rest in peace.
