Corporal McGraw was a member of the 35th Infantry Regiment, 25th Infantry Division. He was Killed in Action while fighting the enemy in South Korea on July 12, 1950. Corporal McGraw was awarded the Purple Heart, the Combat Infantryman's Badge, the Korean Service Medal, the United Nations Service Medal, the National Defense Service Medal, the Korean Presidential Unit Citation and the Republic of Korea War Service Medal.

I never got to meet him. He was my uncle. After my Grandmother died in 1936 my mother was put up for adoption. She started searching for her brother in the early 1990s only to find out that he had been killed in Korea. I am an officer in the U.S.Army and I am proud to serve this country. I have read about Task Force Smith and researched where he was killed. It was a small town by the name of Chochiwon. His unit was overun in the early morning hours of July 11, 1950. Many men died but some were able to escape. Is there anyone out there that knew my uncle or fought by his side? I would like to hear from you if you knew him? (Joel Harbaugh)
