I, SGT Andrew J. Lynch, was a member of the Fourth Platoon. Two other members of the First Platoon PVT John J. Carlisle, 9 INF RGT 2 INF DIV., was KIA on 8/31/50; CPL Chares E. Davis, 2 AR RECON CO 2 IND DIV, was KIA on 2/14/51. We all climbed "AGONY HILL" during Basic. God Bless them all!

I was Chester's squad ldr. in Korea & was wounded the same day he was killed. We had moved our placement forward in order to get a better field of fire, the Koreans hit us from ambush,I was the first one hit and therefore don't know much of what happened after that. I do know that the Plt.leader and several others were killed after they removed me from the area. Chester was a great guy. I did not know he had a twin. After being contacted recently by members of the old outfit,I dug up some pictures,Chester is in some of them. (from Floyd Sharp)
