The 35th Infantry Regiment Association salutes our fallen brother, PFC William Glenn Land, US53004832, who died in the service of his country on July 12th, 1952 in North Korea. The cause of death was listed as KIA. At the time of his death William was 24 years of age. He was from Miami, Florida.
Private First Class Land was a member of the 35th Infantry Regiment, 25th Infantry Division. He was seriously wounded by the enemy in North Korea on April 17, 1952 and returned to duty on May 6, 1952. He was Killed in Action while fighting the enemy in North Korea on July 12, 1952. Private First Class Land was awarded the Purple Heart with Oak Leaf Cluster, the Combat Infantryman's Badge, the Korean Service Medal, the United Nations Service Medal, the National Defense Service Medal, the Korean Presidential Unit Citation and the Republic of Korea War Service Medal.
