The 35th Infantry Regiment Association salutes our fallen brother, PFC Larry Ray Shane, RA17328856, who died in the service of his country on May 29th, 1953 in North Korea. The cause of death was listed as KIA. At the time of his death Larry was 18 years of age. He was from South Sioux City, Nebraska. Larry's Military Occupation Specialty was 1745-Light Weapons Infantry Leader.

The decorations earned by PFC Larry Ray Shane include: the Combat Infantryman Badge, the Bronze Star with V, the Purple Heart, the National Defense Service Medal, the Korean Service Medal, the United Nations Korea Service Medal, and the Republic of Korea War Service Medal.




Larry was standing in a chow line when an enemy mortar round killed him. He entered the service 3 October 1951.
