The 35th Infantry Regiment Association salutes our fallen brother, PFC Johnny Lee Patton, RA13330108, who died in the service of his country on July 28th, 1950 in South Korea. The cause of death was listed as KIA. At the time of his death Johnny was 19 years of age. He was from Tazewell County, Virginia. Johnny's Military Occupation Specialty was 4745-Light Weapons Infantryman.
Private First Class Patton was a member of Company C, 1st Battalion, 35th Infantry Regiment, 25th Infantry Division. He was Killed in Action while fighting the enemy in South Korea on July 28, 1950. His remains were not recovered. Private First Class Patton was awarded the Purple Heart, the Combat Infantryman's Badge, the Prisoner of War Medal, the Korean Service Medal, the United Nations Service Medal, the National Defense Service Medal and the Korean War Service Medal.
