(Following was contributed by Charles' sister, Linda Pieroni, linpie2@sbcglobal.net)

"He attended Waller High School in Chicago, we moved to Chicago in 1962 from Whitman, WV. When the coal mines closed down my parents moved us to Chicago in 1962. He went to school at Waller High School in Chicago. He worked for the old jukebox factory, which was Bally. He was never married and joined the Army with three friends from Chicago, they made it back. My brother was a kind soul. We were so proud of him but my Mom was devastated by his death and never really got better. Our parents have passed away and I have another brother still living. When my brother was killed we had a service for him in Chicago and a service in Logan, WV where he is buried. My Mom thought he would want to be be buried there."
