35th Infantry Regiment
"Not For Fame or Reward
Not For Place or For Rank
But In Simple Obedience To
Duty as They Understood It"
The 35th Infantry Regiment Association salutes our fallen brother, SFC Carl Leonard Goding, RA11197306, who died in the service of his country on April 3rd, 1952 in North Korea. The cause of death was listed as KIA. At the time of his death Carl was 20 years of age. He was from Farmington, Maine. Carl's Military Occupation Specialty was 1745-Light Weapons Infantry Leader.
Carl was a very popular young man and graduated from Farmington High as the most popular in his class. He skied, played football and basketball and ran the mile in track where he won the North Eastern Championship. I greatly appreciate you getting this photo in the KIA Index. Thank you so much..........Lillian Goding. Sister of Carl
