The 35th Infantry Regiment Association salutes our fallen brother, SGT William Luther Calfee, RA19440702, who died in the service of his country on July 4th, 1953 in North Korea, Outpost Dagmar. The cause of death was listed as KIA. At the time of his death William was 23 years of age. He was from King County, Washington. William's Military Occupation Specialty was 1745-Light Weapons Infantry Leader.
Sergeant Calfee was a member of the 35th Infantry Regiment, 25th Infantry Division. He was Killed in Action while fighting the enemy in North Korea on July 4, 1953. Sergeant Calfee was awarded the Purple Heart, the Combat Infantryman's Badge, the Korean Service Medal, the United Nations Service Medal, the National Defense Service Medal, the Korean Presidential Unit Citation and the Republic of Korea War Service Medal.
