The 35th Infantry Regiment Association salutes our fallen brother, SGT Donald William Terry, US56148248, who died in the service of his country on March 17th, 1952 in North Korea. The cause of death was listed as KIA. At the time of his death Donald was 22 years of age. He was from Los Angeles, California. Donald's Military Occupation Specialty was 1745-Light Weapons Infantry Leader.

The decorations earned by SGT Donald William Terry include: the Combat Infantryman Badge, the Purple Heart, the National Defense Service Medal, the Korean Service Medal, the United Nations Korea Service Medal, and the Republic of Korea War Service Medal.


Sergeant Terry was a member of the 35th Infantry Regiment, 25th Infantry Division. He was Killed in Action while fighting the enemy in North Korea on March 17, 1952. Sergeant Terry was awarded the Purple Heart, the Combat Infantrymans Badge, the Korean Service Medal, the United Nations Service Medal, the National Defense Service Medal, the Korean Presidential Unit Citation and the Republic of Korea War Service Medal.

I remember Terry he was a friend who loved life and had a great laugh at the slightest little thing. If I remember right he had twins waiting for him in LA. I do know that he died quickly and could not have suffered.
