The 35th Infantry Regiment Association salutes our fallen brother, SP5 Harry Burkeley Forbes, who died in the service of his country on June 29th, 1966 in Unknown Province, Vietnam. The cause of death was listed as Illness/Disease. At the time of his death Harry was 40 years of age. He was from Lynchburg, Virginia. Harry is honored on the Vietnam Veterans Memorial at Panel 08E, Line 108.

The decorations earned by SP5 Harry Burkeley Forbes include: the Combat Infantryman Badge, the Bronze Star, the National Defense Service Medal, the Vietnam Service Medal, the Vietnam Campaign Medal and the Vietnam Cross of Gallantry with Palm Unit Citation.
