The 35th Infantry Regiment Association salutes our fallen brother, SGT Michael Lawrence Thibodeaux, who died in the service of his country on July 19th, 1970 in Binh Dinh Province, Vietnam. The cause of death was listed as Small Arms/AW. At the time of his death Michael was 19 years of age. He was from Crowley, Louisiana. Michael is honored on the Vietnam Veterans Memorial at Panel 08W, Line 32.

The decorations earned by SGT Michael Lawrence Thibodeaux include: the Combat Infantryman Badge, the Bronze Star, the Purple Heart, the National Defense Service Medal, the Vietnam Service Medal, the Vietnam Campaign Medal and the Vietnam Cross of Gallantry with Palm Unit Citation.


Michael is buried in Roselawn Cemetery, Sulphur, LA

Michael graduated from NCO School at Fort Benning, Georgia. He was in NCOC 22-70, 7th Company, 7th Student Battalion. He graduated 10 March, 1970.
