The 35th Infantry Regiment Association salutes our fallen brother, PFC Robert Edward Dillard, who died in the service of his country on November 5th, 1950 in South Korea. The cause of death was listed as Other Causes (Non-Hostile). At the time of his death Robert was 20 years of age. He was from Luverne, Alabama.

The decorations earned by PFC Robert Edward Dillard include: the Combat Infantryman Badge, the Bronze Star, the National Defense Service Medal, the Korean Service Medal, the United Nations Korea Service Medal, and the Republic of Korea War Service Medal.


Private First Class Dillard was a member of Company L, 3rd Battalion, 35th Infantry Regiment, 25th Infantry Division. He died of other causes on November 5, 1950 near Taejon, South Korea. Private First Class Dillard was awarded the Combat Infantrymans Badge, the Korean Service Medal, the United Nations Service Medal, the National Defense Service Medal, the Korean Presidential Unit Citation and the Republic of Korea War Service Medal.
