The 35th Infantry Regiment Association salutes our fallen brother, PVT Louis P. Richards, who died in the service of his country on January 15th, 1942 in Hawaii. The cause of death was listed as Accidental Shooting. At the time of his death Louis was 20 years of age. He was from New York City, New York.

According to military hospital records, he was admitted from Schofield Barracks for care of a bullet wound to his humerus that he suffered in the line of duty. He originally was reinterred at the Schofield Barracks cemetery and reinterred at the National Memorial Cemetery of the Pacific in 1949 after it was opened.
