The 35th Infantry Regiment Association salutes our fallen brother, Tech5 Ivy Joseph Schexnailder, who died in the service of his country on December 26th, 1942 in Guadalcanal. The cause of death was listed as KIA. At the time of his death Ivy was 22 years of age. He was from Rural, Louisiana.

The decorations earned by Tech5 Ivy Joseph Schexnailder include: the Combat Infantryman Badge, the Bronze Star, the Purple Heart, the Asiatic-Pacific Service Medal, and the World War II Victory Medal.
