The 35th Infantry Regiment Association salutes our fallen brother, PFC James Joseph Stoveken, who died in the service of his country on May 3rd, 1945 in Luzon. The cause of death was listed as MIA/KIA. At the time of his death James was 20 years of age. He was from Hudson County, New Jersey.

The decorations earned by PFC James Joseph Stoveken include: the Combat Medical Badge, the Bronze Star, the Purple Heart, the Asiatic-Pacific Service Medal, and the World War II Victory Medal.


James is still MIA. He is listed on The Tablets of The Missing, Manila Cemetery. James enlisted 16 July 1943.
