The 35th Infantry Regiment Association salutes our fallen brother, PVT William P. Lydon, 36732527, who died in the service of his country on July 28th, 1944 in the Pacific Campaign. The cause of death was listed as KIA. At the time of his death William was 22 years of age. He was from Illinois.

The decorations earned by PVT William P. Lydon include: the Combat Infantryman Badge, the Purple Heart, the Asiatic-Pacific Service Medal, and the World War II Victory Medal.

William is buried in the Punchbowl in Honolulu
