The 35th Infantry Regiment Association salutes our fallen brother, PVT Robert Emmett Campbell, who died in the service of his country on May 12th, 1945 in Luzon, The Philippines. The cause of death was listed as KIA. At the time of his death Robert was 18 years of age. He was from Omaha, Nebraska.

The decorations earned by PVT Robert Emmett Campbell include: the Combat Infantryman Badge, the Bronze Star, the Purple Heart, the Asiatic-Pacific Service Medal, and the World War II Victory Medal.


Robert entered the service 25 September 1944.

A graduate of North High School, where he was a member of ROTC, Robert was employed at the Reed Abstract Company.
