The 35th Infantry Regiment Association salutes our fallen brother, PVT Albert C. Cornell, 35212064, who died in the service of his country on January 15th, 1943 in Guadalcanal. The cause of death was listed as KIA. He was from West Virginia.

The decorations earned by PVT Albert C. Cornell include: the Combat Infantryman Badge, the Bronze Star, the Purple Heart, the Asiatic-Pacific Service Medal, and the World War II Victory Medal.

Albert has a headstone in the Manila American Cemetery but is listed under "Service Personnel Not Recovered Following WWII"
