The 35th Infantry Regiment Association salutes our fallen brother, PFC Walter J. Brautigan, who died in the service of his country on March 29th, 1945 in Luzon, The Philippines. The cause of death was listed as Friendly Fire. At the time of his death Walter was 29 years of age. He was from Texas.

The decorations earned by PFC Walter J. Brautigan include: the Combat Infantryman Badge, the Bronze Star, the Purple Heart, the Asiatic-Pacific Service Medal, and the World War II Victory Medal.


Walter was a member of the 1st Platoon, 2nd Squad of Fox Co. Burial: Salem Lutheran Cemetery Tomball Harris County Texas, USA
