The 35th Infantry Regiment Association salutes our fallen brother, PFC John Kennedy Evans, who died in the service of his country on January 15th, 1943 in Guadalcanal. The cause of death was listed as KIA. At the time of his death John was 27 years of age. He was from California.

The decorations earned by PFC John Kennedy Evans include: the Combat Infantryman Badge, the Bronze Star, the Purple Heart, the Asiatic-Pacific Service Medal, and the World War II Victory Medal.


John is buried in Golden Gate Cemetery.

He was in the 2nd Platoon, 2nd Squad of Fox Company.
