The 35th Infantry Regiment Association salutes our fallen brother, PFC Bennie Liston Black, 38430492, who died in the service of his country on April 22nd, 1945 in Luzon, The Philippines. At the time of his death Bennie was 21 years of age. He was from Dew, Texas.

The decorations earned by PFC Bennie Liston Black include: the Combat Infantryman Badge, the Bronze Star, the Purple Heart, the Asiatic-Pacific Service Medal, and the World War II Victory Medal.
