The 35th Infantry Regiment Association salutes our fallen brother, PFC Walter Woodrow Cook, 39141707, who died in the service of his country on May 9th, 1945 in Luzon, The Philippines. The cause of death was listed as KIA-DOW. At the time of his death Walter was 29 years of age. He was from San Jose, California.

The decorations earned by PFC Walter Woodrow Cook include: the Combat Medical Badge, the Bronze Star, the Purple Heart, the Asiatic-Pacific Service Medal, and the World War II Victory Medal.


Walter entered the service 9 October 1943 and was working for Sylvin Le Deit. He was born in Muncie, KS.
