The 35th Infantry Regiment Association salutes our fallen brother, SGT John Samuel Johnson, 37163548, who died in the service of his country on April 2nd, 1945. The cause of death was listed as DOW. At the time of his death John was 23 years of age. He was from Gray Eagle, Minnesota.

The decorations earned by SGT John Samuel Johnson include: the Combat Infantryman Badge, the Bronze Star, the Purple Heart, the Asiatic-Pacific Service Medal, and the World War II Victory Medal.
