The 35th Infantry Regiment Association salutes our fallen brother, SSG Bernard C. Czepulonis, 36804500, who died in the service of his country on June 20th, 1945 in Luzon, The Philippines. The cause of death was listed as KIA. At the time of his death Bernard was 21 years of age. He was from Milwaukee, Wisconsin.

The decorations earned by SSG Bernard C. Czepulonis include: the Combat Infantryman Badge, the Bronze Star, the Purple Heart, the Asiatic-Pacific Service Medal, and the World War II Victory Medal.


Son of Adolph Czepulonis and Lucy Wolski Czepulonis born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin in 1924.

Burial:Holy Cross Cemetery & Mausoleum, Milwaukee, WI.
Plot: Block 8, Lot 95, Grave 8

From 3/35 Logs: "Company L sent strong patrol up left fork of Marang River. L Company patrol ran into strong resistance 1,000 yards east on left fork of river. Estimated 25 Japs and two LMGs. Also receiving small arms fire. Casualties, One KIA & Two WIA. After artillery prep, moved into area killing three Japs and capturing LMG."
